The California Beach Cruiser: A Dream Slate Truck Built for Sand, Surf & Sun

Some builds are born in garages. This one was born on the sand.
Meet the California Beach Cruiser Slate Truck—a sun-soaked, surf-ready concept by Slate Rides™ made to turn heads on the Pacific Coast Highway and kick back by the beach bonfire. We designed this mockup as part of the SlateGraphics series to explore what a truly lifestyle-forward Slate build could look like, balancing simplicity, color, and function.
The wrap features a pastel ocean gradient—from deep blue to sun-faded gold—framing minimal line art of waves, palms, and a setting sun. The SlateRides.com branding was intentionally oversized for road presence and community awareness. It’s bold, clean, and undeniably West Coast.
But we didn’t stop at visuals. We’ve added one of our favorite Slate3DParts mods yet: 3D-printed bed wind blocks. These minimal, snap-fit fins mount to the top edge of the bed walls to help reduce drag while cruising and cut down swirling sand when parked at the beach. They’re lightweight, removable, and ready for real-world use.
Other planned upgrades include a modular beach canopy frame, surfboard tailgate guard, and rear fender storage bins for towels, snacks, keys and wax. Interior upgrades would keep it casual: marine-grade neoprene seat covers, open mesh cargo panels, and wireless charging pucks inlaid into the dash.
This isn’t just a render—it’s a vibe. And with Slate’s modular platform, we think this concept could go from Photoshop to pavement faster than you think.
